Patterned and Ultraflat ITO (Indium Tin Oxide)

[Xiaotu homepage] > [Jonathon's homepage] > [Jonathon's Research Interests]: [中 文]

Introduction: On the one hand, ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) is a crucial and necessary component of organic electronic devices since it is transparent and has a high conductivity. On the other hand, ITO is one of the most problematic components of an OLED due to difficulties in controlling surface roughness and its inclusion of bonded oxygen. Next generation nano-organic-opto-electonic devices require thin ITO layers that combine nanometer flatness and patterned on the sub-micron scale.

Research objectives:
        1) To deposit ITO with sub-nanometer flatness.
        2) To pattern ITO with sub-micron precision.
        3) To offer flat-patterned ITO commercially.
        4) To fabricate nanometric light organic transisters (collaboration)

Required students: Professional student with connection with ITO company.
